Metamorphosis

The project explores a creative and sustainable way of promoting the book “Cartea Nasoaselor” by Alexandra Rusu and illustrated by me, through the idea of involving the audience in the development process of a 3D set design. The book comes into an illustrated cardboard box. Inside the box, the child will find illustrations from the book, along with instructions of how to assemble the theater and bring the book to life. Along with the box, the three princesses and a magic balloon made in the technique of papier-mâché, give the child the opportunity of meeting the book’s characters and reinventing the narrative through games. My concept not only encourages the development of creativity, but supports sustainability as the theater is made out of the packaging box, promoting the concept of reusing and the figurines out of recycled paper.
